Got a sweet tooth?
Some of you may not know that Seth, our main man in the kitchen, is quite the pastry chef.
He makes all of our hand crafted desserts. If you have ever tried to make a cheesecake (not the “no bake” kind), a Boston Cream Pie or Creme Brulee then you know the labor of love that is desserts.
He has developed quite a reputation with his Butterfinger Peanut Butter Chocolate Pie. It is SO rich, decadent and just down right good.
My personal favorite is his Milky Way Cheesecake. It has little chunks of Milky Way candy bar in the cake with a caramel glaze topped with a chocolate ganache. Heaven on a plate if you ask me.
One of his other sweet feats lately is our Gluten Free Chocolate Cake. The secret to this flour-less wonder is (drum roll please)…Quinoa. Yup. Quinoa. For those of you who are not familiar with this amazing little seed it is a grain grown primarily for its edible seeds and it high in protein. So not only is it delicious its good for you ;)…right?
As for specials this weekend we have:
Scallops a la Carbonara ~ Fresh sea scallops, pan seared and served on a bed of penne pasta that has been tossed in a Marsala & carbonara cream sauce.
Blackened Mahi~Mahi ~ A half pound Mahi filet, cajun crusted, pan blackened & served with a fresh pineapple salsa, jasmine rice and our house veggies.
Steak Frites ~ This has become a main stay on our specials list. Tonight’s compound butter is a Bourbon Bacon Garlic. Sure to please any steak lover.
We are still grilling up the Pork Tenderloin as well as the Hearth Baked Salmon. Our soups tonight are a Creamy Cheddar Broccoli and Seth’s Homestyle Chicken & Wild Rice. Both are just the thing on these cold winter nights. I would highly recommend a cup as an appetizer to cut the chill.
And lets not forget our Rosemary & Cheddar Potato Puffs and BBQ Pork Rolls, two more “regulars” on our specials list.
Hope everyone stays safe and warm this weekend. Cheers!
